A woman has been brutally raped by a man while trying to get money from a charity in London, according to police.
The 23-year-old woman was attacked in an alleyway in the city’s Docklands neighborhood on Friday morning.
She suffered injuries to her head and face, but was not seriously hurt, Metropolitan Police said.
Detectives were called to the area near Kings Cross station to investigate a report of a “vicious” attack, Metropolitan police said.
The woman, who is described as white, aged in her early 20s, was assaulted and robbed by two men who approached her in an east London alleyway, police said in a statement.
The suspects, who have not been identified, ran off in a dark-coloured car and fled the scene.
Police said the incident is being treated as a sexual assault and that no arrests have been made.
In October last year, a woman was raped in broad daylight in the capital’s Kings Cross district, with a man running from the scene in a grey Ford Focus.
Her attackers have not yet been identified.
